Elementary School

Parents should arrange with the classroom teacher if treats will be brought for the class. All food for room parties, birthday treats, etc. must be secured from commercial sources such as bakeries and dairies for student safety. 

Some parents bring treats to school in celebration of their child's birthday. This is not required by the school but neither is it considered objectionable. Treats will be given out at a time decided by the teacher. Treats must not be homemade.

Please be sensitive to the fact that some students do not celebrate birthdays and/or holidays. 

Please do not distribute birthday party invitations in school. 

School parties are held three times each year. These parties are considered to be an important part of the overall school program and are based on a yearly theme.

Healthy Snacks
Snacks are a great way to provide quick energy for people on the go. Healthy snacks supplement meals by helping to provide nutrients and energy growing bodies need. Look for snacks that are no more than 5 grams of fat and contain less than 200 calories per serving.
